Our Company |
| Metabolic Industries (MI) was created in 2001 to provide
physician access to the intravenous insulin therapy now known as MAT®
treatment. This therapy offers a unique approach to treating
the complications of diabetes. Our focus is on
licensing this therapy to endocrinologists for use in their offices
and for use in hospitals. To that end, we are educating physicians
and patients about MAT® treatment
and it's applications.
MI's goals remain constant:
CEO - Michael Arcangeli Acting CEO since 2002, Mr. Arcangeli joined MI at its formation in 2001 as the Vice President in charge of Clinical Activities and Training. Mr. Arcangeli is an authority on the use of the MAT® procedure in the clinical setting, having worked with the inventor, Thomas T. Aoki, M.D., during the past 25 years. Mr. Arcangeli has been a stabilizing force during marketplace turmoil. Mr. Arcangeli has a Masters degree in Healthcare Administration, a bachelor degree in Biology. He has been professionally involved in the healthcare field more than twenty-five years. He previously worked at the Joslin Diabetes Research Laboratory in Boston, MA and more recently was a faculty member of the University of California, Davis, CA.
Consultant - Thomas T. Aoki, M.D. Dr Aoki developed the MAT® treatment and is the holder of several patents regarding this therapy. He is a Professor at U. C. Davis Medical School, in the Division of Endocrinology. Dr. Aoki volunteers his time as a consultant to MI.
The Future MI realizes the importance of opening new markets and new applications for MAT® treatment. MI is exploring partnerships with organizations having the proper medical credentials to both provide therapy and conduct research. MI is also exploring the use of MAT® treatment in other areas of medicine besides diabetes. To further research efforts on the effects of MAT® treatment, a portion of the company's earnings is donated to The Aoki Diabetes Research Institute, ADRI, a non-profit institution involved in medical research.
